Man jailed on warrant, felony drug charges in Bath

Police arrested a man on a felony warrant and accused him of trying to hide suspected fentanyl while in custody.

Corbin P. Pavlick, 33, of Lindley, was taken into custody around 10:25 a.m. Jan. 19 by the Village of Bath Police Department on an active felony warrant for failure to register as a sex offender.

While in custody, officers said Pavlick attempted to conceal a bag of suspected fentanyl on his person so law enforcement would not discover it.

In addition to the failure to register charge, a Class E felony, Pavlick is charged with tampering with physical evidence, a Class E felony, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a Class A misdemeanor.

Police processed Pavlick and transported him to the Steuben County Jail for arraignment, where he remains held.
