Meth plea, larceny sentence in Schuyler County

A Rock Stream man admitted to a felony drug charge in Schuyler County Court, while an Elmira man received probation in a separate larceny case.

Jeremy L. Wright, 45, pleaded guilty February 19 to Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree, a Class A-II felony, according to a press release from the Schuyler County District Attorney’s Office . He is scheduled to be sentenced April 30.


Authorities arrested Wright on April 3, 2025, after executing a search warrant at his residence. During the search, police found approximately two gallons of methamphetamine oil, crystal methamphetamine, meth manufacturing equipment, about 300 pseudoephedrine pills, digital scales, and packaging materials .

Members of the New York State Police Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team investigated the case, with assistance from the Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team. Schuyler County District Attorney Jeremy Hourihan prosecuted the case .

In a separate case, Scott W. Chimileski, 38, of Elmira, pleaded guilty December 11, 2025, to Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a Class E felony . The court sentenced him February 19 to five years of probation .

Authorities said Chimileski stole another person’s wallet containing a credit card on November 11, 2024, at the Dandy Mini Mart in Odessa and later used the card to make purchases . The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Department investigated that case, and Hourihan also prosecuted it .
