A Waterloo business gathering turned into a celebration for a local cannabis dispensary this week.
The Seneca County Chamber of Commerce awarded Just Breathe Finger Lakes Legal Dispensary its February Business of the Month honor during a Business After Hours event on February 18.
LC New York, located in the Tops Plaza at 1963 U.S.-20, Suite 6 in Waterloo, hosted the event. Montezuma Winery served wine, and Tucci’s Family Diner provided food.
The chamber presented the award to Daniel Dennis, owner of Just Breathe Finger Lakes Legal Dispensary at 2988 Auburn Road in Tyre.
Just Breathe operates as a New York State legal cannabis dispensary. The shop opens Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday and Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Customers must be 21 or older to enter.
The business also hosts live music and vendor events. During warmer months, it brings in food trucks for the community.
Beyond retail, Just Breathe supports several local groups. The business has raised money for Beverly Animal Shelter, the Seneca Veterans Housing program, the Montezuma VFW, the Montezuma Youth Group, the Seneca County House of Concern, and local artists and musicians. It has also organized food drives for families and donated to multiple benefits.
LC New York, the event host, operates as a liquidation store offering name-brand home goods, furniture, clothing, and toys at discounted prices. The store runs Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
