Flames will roar and ice will sparkle when the Canandaigua Fire & Ice Festival takes over downtown this weekend.
The free event runs 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Professional sculptors will carve live ice displays, while fire performers and snow sculptor Eric Jones add heat to the winter lineup. Guests can also watch logging demos, meet sled dogs and alpacas, and ride through downtown on horse-drawn wagons.
Local chefs will battle in a live cook-off, and visitors can sample drinks along the Comfort in a Cup Beverage Trail. Organizers recently earned a Forbes nod as a top winter festival and expect crowds to fill Main Street.
