Lansing and Newfield are exploring added space, while Groton joins a national summer learning cohort. Southworth and Ulysses libraries are planning events from Pi Day celebrations to repair cafés.
DeMeester-Lane says libraries serve as vital community hubs and digital lifelines. He hopes regular meetings with area directors will help the system grow stronger and more connected in 2026.
