Deputies arrested a Hopewell woman early Monday after investigating a suspicious vehicle in Ontario County.
Heidi M. Welsh, 41, of Hopewell, was taken into custody around 1:30 a.m. Feb. 17 at Route 5 and 20 and State Route 247.
Deputies charged Welsh with DWAI Drugs and DWAI Drugs and Alcohol following the investigation.
Authorities said the investigation determined that Welsh operated a motor vehicle on a public highway in the Town of Hopewell while her ability was impaired by drugs and alcohol.
Deputies transported her to the Ontario County Jail, where officers printed and photographed her. Officials later released her to a sober third party with uniform traffic tickets.
Welsh will return to Hopewell Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
