Woman accused of beating child, punching patrons at Williamson McDonald’s

A disturbance at a Williamson McDonald’s ended with a Wayne County woman facing multiple charges after deputies say she beat a child and punched other patrons.

Tamila S. Kemp, 33, of Ridge Road in the Town of Williamson, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, second-degree harassment, and endangering the welfare of a child, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators said deputies responded Feb. 15 after receiving a report that a woman inside the restaurant was beating a child and punching others.

Patrol units located Kemp in the parking lot of the public library after she left the McDonald’s, authorities said.

Deputies arrested Kemp and transported her to the Wayne County Jail for processing and CAP Court.
