Freeze-ups in Lake Ontario forced Williamson to ask residents to conserve water again, according to RochesterFirst.
Town officials issued a voluntary advisory Friday after frazil ice clogged the intake pipe and limited water flow. They urged shorter showers and delayed laundry, warning mandatory limits could follow. This marked the second notice in weeks after a similar Jan. 29 advisory.
On Monday, officials lifted the advisory and restored normal operations at the water treatment plant. Leaders expect warmer weather to push the ice away and prevent more disruptions.
