A traffic stop in the Village of Newark ended with an arrest early Feb. 16, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested Timothy H. Jenkins, 18, of Chippenham Drive in the Town of Penfield, and charged him with obstructing governmental administration in the second degree.
Investigators said the charge stems from what happened during the stop. Deputies said Jenkins tried to physically prevent a vehicle search and the towing of the vehicle he was driving.
Deputies took Jenkins to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing. They later transported him to the Wayne County Jail for P&P’s and released him with an appearance ticket.
He will appear in court at a later date.
