State Police scrambled to find a 73-year-old Lansing woman Friday afternoon, according to 14850.com. Troopers said she left her Auburn Road home late Thursday night without her phone or a car, and family members noticed she was gone around 8 a.m.
Police later identified her as Margaret Schoneman. Authorities said someone spotted her walking on the Cornell University campus after seeing the agency’s Facebook alert.
By early evening, officials canceled the alert and confirmed she was safe and in good condition. Troopers thanked the community member who helped bring the search to a quick end.
