A smooth run wasn’t enough. Ontario County native Dylan Walczyk missed the men’s moguls medal round at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy, according to the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.
Walczyk scored 77.62 points in the final Thursday, briefly landing in seventh place before another skier bumped him out of the top eight. He ultimately finished 13th, improving on his 16th-place finish at the 2022 Beijing Games.
Australia’s Cooper Woods won gold, Canada’s Mikael Kingsbury took silver and Japan’s Ikuma Horishima earned bronze. Walczyk, who grew up skiing at Bristol Mountain, gets another shot at a podium finish in the dual moguls event early Sunday morning.
