New York Lottery players will soon get a new shot at a life-changing payday — every single night.
The New York Lottery will launch Millionaire for Life™, a new nightly multistate draw game, on Sunday, Feb. 22.
The game features a top prize of $1 million a year for life. The second-tier prize awards $100,000 a year for life. Players also have seven additional prize levels, with overall odds of winning any prize set at 1 in 8.47.
For $5 per play, players choose five numbers from 1 to 58 and one Millionaire Ball™ number from 1 to 5. Drawings will take place nightly at 11:15 p.m. ET. Players can begin purchasing tickets for the first drawing starting at 5 a.m. on Feb. 22.
“This new game gives New Yorkers daily chances at winning life-changing money while raising important aid for public schools,” said Gaming Commission Chair Brian O’Dwyer. “Millionaire for Life is a fantastic addition to the New York Lottery’s collection of entertaining games, all of which offer an exciting array of prize options.”
Top prize winners can choose between guaranteed annual payments for at least 20 years or a one-time discounted cash lump sum.
The odds of winning the top prize — matching all five numbers plus the Millionaire Ball™ — stand at 1 in 22,910,580. Matching all five numbers without the Millionaire Ball™ carries odds of 1 in 5,727,645 and pays $100,000 a year for life.
Other prize tiers range from $7,500 for matching four numbers plus the Millionaire Ball™ to $8 for matching two numbers or one number plus the Millionaire Ball™.
Millionaire for Life™ joins the New York Lottery’s current lineup of draw games, which includes Powerball, New York Lotto, Mega Millions, Numbers, Win 4, Take 5, Quick Draw, Money Dots and Pick 10.
The New York Lottery reported contributing $3.6 billion in fiscal year 2024-2025 to benefit public schools in the state.
Tickets will be available at authorized New York Lottery retailers statewide. For more information, visit powerball.com/millionaire-for-life.
