WATERLOO — A Seneca Falls man was arrested Monday night following a traffic stop in the village, according to the Waterloo Police Department.
Police said officers stopped a vehicle around 9:47 p.m. Feb. 9 and arrested Raymond J. Schaefer. During the investigation, officers reported finding Schaefer in possession of a switchblade knife and oxycodone without a valid prescription.
Schaefer was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.
He was transported to the Waterloo Police Department for processing and later released on an appearance ticket.
Schaefer is scheduled to appear in Waterloo Town Court at a later date.
