Town of Victory officials will hold a public hearing this week on a proposal to build two community solar arrays on Duck Lake Road.
The Victory Planning Board will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, February 12 at the Victory Fire Department, 12009 NY 38 in Cato, to take public comment on the project.
The proposal calls for two grid-tied community solar arrays co-located on a single privately owned parcel in the Town of Victory, Cayuga County. Each array will comply with the New York State Public Service Commission’s single-siting regulations.
The arrays will share a common porous stone access road beginning on the north side of Duck Lake Road. The road will lead to individual site access gates for the two projects, identified as 11397 Duck Lake Rd A / NED-New Energy Solar 7 LLC and 11397 Duck Lake Rd B / NED-New Energy Solar 14 LLC.
Project documents are available for public inspection at the Town of Victory Town Clerk’s Office at 1323 Town Barn Road in Red Creek.
Officials said individuals with visual, hearing, or manual impairments who need assistance should contact the Town Clerk’s Office at 315-626-6711 at least 48 hours before the hearing.
Residents who cannot attend in person can submit written comments to the Town of Victory Town Clerk’s Office at 1323 Town Barn Road, Red Creek, NY 13143, or by email to [email protected]. The clerk will forward statements to the Planning Board for consideration.
