The Victor Town Board approved a series of vehicle purchases, personnel appointments, and bid authorizations during its Feb. 9 meeting, while also adopting a new state-required workplace policy and accepting multiple resignations.

The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. and included the Pledge of Allegiance, roll call, and routine approvals. Councilman Drew Cusamano was noted as necessarily absent. Town officials also announced that all town departments will be closed Monday, Feb. 16, in observance of Presidents Day.

The board unanimously approved the minutes from the Jan. 26 meeting and authorized payment of bills under Manifest No. 3 in the amount of $1,888,209.03. Town officials highlighted several expenditures exceeding $5,000, including payments for road salt, legal services, engineering work, fuel, health care costs, and the Victor Fire District tax levy pass-through. Board members asked clarifying questions regarding partial reimbursements tied to engineering costs, after which the manifest was approved.

No public comments were offered during the public comment period.

Reports from the Planning and Building Department and Economic Development were received without questions. During supervisor remarks, it was noted that Monroe County’s Public Works Committee had created a capital project for County Road 9, with additional details to follow. A board member also reported attending recent Village Board and Conservation Board meetings. Discussion of fireworks was deferred until a March meeting when all board members are expected to be present.

The board also appointed Denise Giordano as Clerk to the Town Justice; Hayden Nearpass as a full-time cleaner and recreation leader in a hybrid position; and Matthew Heilmann as Construction Inspector. In addition, Miriam Contiguglia was appointed chair of the Board of Assessment Review. The resignations of Bridget Bartholomay and Kenneth Wilson were formally accepted. All actions were approved unanimously.

Discussion followed regarding notification procedures for water main breaks after a recent incident on Aldrich Road, with town officials indicating they are not routinely notified when breaks occur. The supervisor said the town would follow up with the Monroe County Water Authority.

The board also approved the final release of the Fourwinds letter of credit.
