The home of the Rochester Red Wings is getting a new name — ESL Ballpark — under a fresh sponsorship deal, according to officials.
The team announced a 10-year, $550,000 naming-rights agreement with ESL, pending approval from the Monroe County Legislature. The stadium most recently carried the Innovative Field name, and longtime fans remember it as Frontier Field. ESL leaders say the partnership builds on decades of support for the club.
Team President Naomi Silver said the deal depends on Triple-A baseball staying in Rochester, but she expects the affiliation with the Washington Nationals to continue. Opening Day is set for March 31.
