A crash on Elmira Road forced police to shut down part of the busy roadway Tuesday evening.
Ithaca Police, Ithaca Fire Department, and Bang’s Ambulance responded to the 300 block of Elmira Road at about 6:19 p.m. for a personal injury motor vehicle accident.
Police closed a large section of the 300 block of Elmira Road as officers investigated the scene. Authorities urged motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
Officials have not released additional details about the crash.
