A shoplifting investigation that began last fall led to an arrest in Ontario County.
Deanna Salamone, 36, of Fairport, was arrested Feb. 5 on an active arrest warrant, sheriff’s officials said.
The warrant stems from a shoplifting investigation at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Victor on Oct. 10, when Salamone was identified as a suspect in the theft of about $790 worth of merchandise. Investigators said she allegedly passed all points of sale without paying.
Salamone was transferred into Ontario County Sheriff’s Office custody from Monroe County and transported to the Ontario County Jail. She remains held while awaiting arraignment.
