A reported domestic violence incident outside a retail store led to an arrest in the Town of Aurelius.
Thomas W. Michlovitch, 50, of Auburn, was arrested Feb. 4 after Cayuga County Sheriff’s deputies investigated an incident in a parking lot on Clark Street Road.
Deputies said they interviewed a female victim who reported a physical altercation with a male family member. The investigation determined Michlovitch wrapped his arm around the victim’s neck and applied pressure during an argument.
Michlovitch later turned himself in at the Public Safety Building, where deputies processed him and transferred him to Cayuga County Jail for arraignment.
He was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, a misdemeanor, and remanded on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. Michlovitch is scheduled to appear in Aurelius Town Court on Feb. 11.
