Lea Webb launches reelection bid

Surrounded by supporters and top Democrats, Sen. Lea Webb kicked off her reelection campaign at a Binghamton gala, according to WENY.

Webb announced her run during the People’s Purple Ball, an event that drew community leaders and New York Attorney General Letitia James. She’s seeking another term representing the 52nd Senate District, which spans Cortland and Tompkins counties and parts of Broome County.

First elected in 2022, Webb says her focus remains on funding for the region, reproductive rights, and support for working families. She currently chairs the state Senate’s Women’s Issues Committee.

No challengers have entered the race yet against Lea Webb.
