Shelby stabbing turns deadly

A violent disturbance on a rural Shelby road ended with one man dead and another seriously hurt Saturday night, according to RochesterFirst.

Deputies rushed to a South Gravel Road home near Route 63 after a reported disturbance. The Orleans County Sheriff’s Office says a man armed with a knife confronted deputies outside, forcing them to use a Taser before taking him into custody. Inside the home, deputies found two men stabbed multiple times.

One victim, 65-year-old Dale R. Lang, died at the scene. The second victim went to the hospital, though officials haven’t released his condition. Investigators later charged 36-year-old Aaron D’Angelo of Medina with murder, attempted murder, assault, and weapons-related counts. The case remains under investigation.
