Deputies arrested a Sodus man following a late-night investigation into a property damage crash. Authorities identified the man as Kristopher Skilins, 42.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident on South Geneva Road near Stell Road in Sodus, according to a press release.
Deputies conducted standard field sobriety tests and determined Skilins was intoxicated, the sheriff’s office said. Investigators reported that Skilins provided a chemical breath sample showing a blood alcohol content of .17%.
As a result, deputies issued Skilins tickets for driving while intoxicated, BAC greater than .08, failure to maintain lane, speed not reasonable and prudent, operating without an interlock device, and aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree.
Deputies transported Skilins to the Wayne County Jail for centralized arraignment scheduled for 7 a.m. Feb. 7.
