Police said officers determined that Merced violated a Class A order of protection by contacting the protected party. Investigators said he unlawfully entered the victim’s home and remained there.

Police also allege Merced grabbed the victim and placed her in fear for her safety.

Merced was charged with criminal contempt in the first degree and criminal trespass. Police are holding him at the Seneca County Correctional Facility as he awaits central arraignment.
