Shannon Pearson, Avi Adam and Grace Dwyer each scored for the Big Red, while six different players recorded assists in a balanced offensive performance that featured nine Cornell skaters registering at least one point. Adam added an all-around effort with 11 shots on goal and five blocked shots.

Cornell controlled play from the opening period, generating early pressure before Pearson opened the scoring with a shot from the slot to give the Big Red a 1-0 lead. Adam extended the advantage early in the second period, scoring shortly after a Cornell power play expired. Less than a minute later, Dwyer added a third goal to provide additional insurance.

Defensively, Cornell limited RPI opportunities throughout the contest and successfully killed multiple power-play chances. Goaltender Annelies Bergmann stopped all 14 shots she faced to record her sixth shutout of the season.

The victory ensures Cornell will host at least an opening-round ECAC playoff game and remain in contention for a top-four seed, which would secure home ice for the quarterfinal round.
