An investigation led to the arrest of an Auburn man accused of violating an order of protection while incarcerated.
Andrew M. Wilson, 33, of Auburn was arrested on January 30 following a Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office investigation that began in December. Deputies said Wilson contacted a protected party despite a full stay-away order of protection while held at the Cayuga County Jail.
Wilson was charged with criminal contempt in the second degree, a misdemeanor, and aggravated family offense, a felony. Investigators said the charges are based on evidence developed during the investigation.
He was arraigned in CAP Court and is currently being held at the Cayuga County Jail.
