Some New Yorkers hit a filing wall after TurboTax temporarily stopped accepting state returns, according to WETM. The issue traces back to last year’s state-issued Inflation Refund checks, which threw off tax calculations.
TurboTax owner Intuit says the problem requires a software patch to correctly handle the refunds. Until then, affected New York returns can’t be submitted.
Intuit told the station it identified the glitch and expects the fix to roll out by February 4. The company says it’s coordinating with the state and notifying impacted filers so returns can be filed accurately and without delay.
