A routine shopping trip ended with an arrest after deputies say a woman walked out of a local Target without paying for merchandise.
Deputies arrested Brittni Elyse Cortina, 39, on Feb. 3 after investigators say she concealed multiple items while inside the store.
Deputies said Cortina concealed merchandise valued at $37.99 and passed all points of sale without rendering payment.
Deputies arrested Cortina at the store and transported her to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office substation.
She was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to answer the petit larceny charge in Victor Town Court at a later date.
