A rollover crash on County Road 6 sent five people, including a small child, to the hospital Saturday night. Ontario County deputies responded around 7:27 p.m. to the area of 5095 County Road 6 for a reported crash with possible entrapment.
Deputies later determined that Hannah-Rose Haggerty was driving the vehicle northbound when she lost control. Investigators said snowy weather conditions and unsafe speed caused the vehicle to roll over.
Before deputies arrived, Finger Lakes Ambulance and West Lake Fire Department crews were already on scene providing aid. All occupants had exited the vehicle by the time law enforcement arrived.
Authorities said there were five occupants in the vehicle, including four adults and one small child. All five were transported by ambulance to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Haggerty was cited under New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law 1180(a) for speed not reasonable and prudent. A portion of County Road 6 remained closed for about an hour while emergency crews worked the scene.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
