Geneva Theatre Guild brings classic drama to stage

A Pulitzer Prize–winning American classic is coming to Geneva as the Geneva Theatre Guild prepares to present Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller. The production will run across three performances in late February and early March.

The show opens Friday, Feb. 27, with a 7:30 p.m. performance, followed by a Saturday night show Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m. A Sunday matinee is scheduled for March 1 at 2 p.m. All performances will take place at the Pat Collins Black Box Theater inside the Geneva Community Center, home of the Boys & Girls Club, at 160 Carter Road.

The production is directed by Jesse Tyler Halstead and marks the Geneva Theatre Guild’s staging of one of the most influential plays in American theater. Death of a Salesman explores family, identity, and the pressures of success through the story of traveling salesman Willy Loman.

Tickets are $17 for adults and $15 for students and seniors ages 65 and older. Seating is general admission, with no assigned seats. Tickets are available both online and at the door.

The play is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, servicing the Dramatists Play Service collection.
