Two Bath residents were taken into custody after police responded to a reported disturbance on Geneva Street and determined that both individuals were violating active court-issued orders of protection against one another.
According to the Village of Bath Police Department, officers were dispatched to a Geneva Street residence at approximately 4:25 p.m. on Jan. 26 following a report of an active disturbance. The caller reported that a man at the residence was refusing to leave the property.
When officers arrived, they determined that two active stay-away orders of protection were in place involving Jamie Gould, 33, and Clorissa Ribble, 28, both of Bath. Police said further investigation revealed that each individual was in violation of the orders of protection they had against one another.
Both Gould and Ribble were taken into custody and charged with criminal contempt in the second degree, a Class A misdemeanor.
Police said both individuals were processed and transported to the Steuben County Jail for arraignment, where they were later released.
