Syracuse extended its lead to as many as 19 points early in the fourth quarter after another Burrows 3-pointer and a series of strong drives to the basket. Miami mounted a late comeback, trimming the deficit in the final minutes, but Syracuse closed out the game at the free-throw line and on the defensive end to secure the five-point win.
The Orange finished with 43 rebounds and five steals in the victory.
Syracuse continues its road stretch Thursday, February 5, traveling to Boston College for a 6 p.m. tipoff.
