A complaint from a parent triggered a police investigation into alleged inappropriate conduct at Geneva Middle School, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
The Geneva Police Department said it received the complaint Jan. 28 involving a middle school staff member and a student. Police confirmed the case remains active and no arrests have been made.
The Geneva City School District placed a middle school employee on administrative leave and launched its own internal review. District officials said student safety remains their top priority but declined to release further details due to the personnel nature of the case.
Police said they may release more information as the investigation continues.
