Geneva City Councilor Ahmad Whitfield appeared in court Wednesday, weeks after his arrest on felony drug charges, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
Whitfield is accused of selling and possessing controlled substances — including one class A-II felony. His attorney says he sees “glaring weaknesses” in the case and expects a positive outcome, though the case was adjourned until Feb. 25.
Mayor Jim Cecere has called on Whitfield to resign, but no decision has been made.
