Water main breaks disrupt Geneva streets

City crews worked overnight to repair multiple water main breaks that disrupted service in parts of Geneva.

The city said Department of Public Works water maintenance crews first fixed a break on Jackson Street, but a second break later occurred at another location on the same street. Areas around Jackson Street and Center Street remained affected as crews continued repairs.

Officials also identified a new water main break on White Springs Road. The affected stretch runs roughly from St. Clair Street to White Springs Lane, according to the city.

Residents in those areas may have experienced temporary interruptions in water service while crews worked to isolate and repair the breaks. City officials said DPW crews were working as quickly and safely as possible and thanked residents for their patience.
