Felony warrant arrest leads to child endangerment charge

Police arrested a Seneca Falls man after executing a felony warrant that investigators say put a child at risk.

The Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Ted O’Connor, 45, at about 11:58 a.m. on Jan. 23. Police said the arrest followed the execution of a felony warrant issued Jan. 20 by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office.

According to police, officers took O’Connor into custody after his actions during the warrant execution created an unsafe environment for a child inside the residence.

Police charged O’Connor with endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.

Authorities said O’Connor is currently being held at the Seneca County Correctional Facility while he awaits arraignment. Police also requested an order of protection on behalf of the victim.
