Four arrested after Big Flats burglary

A burglary in progress ended with four arrests Sunday after deputies stopped a suspicious vehicle, according to WETM.

Chemung County sheriff’s deputies responded to a home on Brookline Avenue in the town of Big Flats. They found four occupants matching a witness description and took them into custody. Investigators later linked two of them to a separate grand larceny at a nearby Hazelwood Avenue home.

Deputies charged two Elmira men, a Schoharie man, and a juvenile with felony burglary and larceny offenses. Three adults were arraigned and released pending future court dates. The juvenile will appear in Chemung County Youth Court.
