Tenney earns A+ on pro-life scorecard

Congresswoman Claudia Tenney just landed the highest possible grade from a national pro-life group.

Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America gave Tenney an A+ on its National Pro-Life Scorecard, citing her voting record and legislative work in Congress.

The scorecard tracks key votes, bill sponsorships, letters, and other actions tied to abortion policy and support for women and families.

Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America evaluates lawmakers on how consistently they support policies aimed at protecting unborn children and assisting pregnant women and mothers.

The group pointed to Tenney’s continued push for pro-life legislation in Congress.

That includes her recent reintroduction of the Supporting Pregnant and Parenting Women and Families Act. The bill would allow states to use Temporary Assistance for Needy Families funds to support pregnancy resource centers.

Those centers often provide pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, parenting education, counseling, and basic supplies.

Tenney has also introduced and supported several other measures.

They include the Unborn Child Support Act, the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, and the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act.

She has also supported efforts to block abortions based on a Down syndrome diagnosis and strengthen protections for what her office called “the most vulnerable.”

“An A+ rating from Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America reflects a clear record of standing up for the most vulnerable and supporting women with real resources,” Tenney said.

“New York families see the consequences when the far-left pushes abortion on demand and attacks pregnancy centers that provide compassionate care and practical help,” she said.

Tenney said she plans to keep working to protect unborn children, block taxpayer-funded abortion, and expand support systems for mothers and families.
