Endicott talks En-Joie golf course: Aging infrastructure a concern for tourism attraction

The future of En-Joie Golf Course is back on the table after village leaders asked the county to negotiate, according to WIVT. The Village of Endicott offered Broome County a 30-day window to discuss repairs and long-term control of the course.

Mayor Nick Burlingame sent the offer to County Executive Jason Garnar, citing concerns over the course’s aging irrigation system. County officials have warned the issue could jeopardize the annual Dick’s Open.

The county previously proposed funding upgrades if the village gave up ownership. Endicott pushed back, calling that approach heavy-handed. If talks fail, the village says it will seek a new operator to replace the county.
