Firefighters responded early Friday morning to a silo fire at a Fleming farm and had the situation under control within an hour.

Fleming Fire Department Co. No. 1 was dispatched at 1:09 a.m. to DuMond Farms after a fire was reported inside a silo.
Chief officers and multiple units, including Truck 1, Engine 3, and Engine 4, responded to the scene. Firefighters confirmed a small silo fire upon arrival.
Crews worked alongside farm staff to empty the contents of the silo and extinguish remaining hot spots. No injuries were reported, and firefighters cleared the scene and returned to service within an hour.
The Aurelius and Scipio fire departments provided mutual aid during the response.
