Sheriff’s investigators arrested a Seneca County man after a search warrant turned up multiple firearms, authorities said.
Investigators arrested Stewart W. Woodard Sr., 51, of Ovid on Jan. 10 on a charge of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, according to Seneca County Sheriff Timothy Thompson.
The charge stems from the execution of a search warrant on Dec. 12. Investigators allege Woodard possessed multiple firearms.
Authorities said Woodard is a convicted felon and is barred from possessing firearms under state law.
Woodard received an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Ovid Town Court on Feb. 24 to answer the charge.
