Smoke, flames, and flash bangs marked a tense police standoff after a daytime stabbing in Salina, according to CNY Central.
Deputies responded to a stabbing on Sunflower Drive around 3:41 p.m. Friday, believing the suspect barricaded inside the home. The victim went to Upstate University Hospital in critical condition as police sealed off the block.
By Friday night, neighbors reported fire and loud bangs from the house. Authorities later confirmed the noises were flash bangs, not gunfire. Fire crews staged nearby while police held the scene, and officials had not released a new update early Saturday.
