Seneca Falls man charged in child abuse case

Police arrested a man after investigators responded to a report of possible child abuse at a Seneca Falls home.

Officers arrested Zachary K. Young, 35, of Seneca Falls, on Jan. 8 after a CPS report triggered an investigation by the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department.

Police said the investigation found evidence of physical abuse against a child inside the household. Officers took Young into custody and charged him with one count of endangering the welfare of a child.

Authorities transported Young to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center, where he awaited arraignment. Police also requested an order of protection on behalf of the child.

The investigation remains ongoing.
