A pickup truck veered off the road and hit a horse-drawn buggy carrying four children in Pittsfield, seriously injuring a 12-year-old girl, according to WBNG. The crash happened Thursday afternoon on County Highway 13.
State Police say the 26-year-old driver drifted right and struck the buggy from behind. Three other children were treated at the scene. The horse died in the crash.
The truck driver wasn’t hurt and was issued a citation.
