A person suffered a severe fall at a building site in the Town of Genoa, prompting a multi-agency rescue response Tuesday morning.
Cayuga County 911 dispatched Genoa Rescue, the King Ferry Fire Department, and Southern Cayuga Instant Aid just before 9:15 a.m. to the 300 block of State Route 34.
Responders reported the victim had fallen an estimated 30 to 35 feet at the scene.
Genoa Rescue units, including Cars 1 through 4 and Rescue 1, were dispatched. Rescue 1 arrived within minutes and immediately began patient care.
Genoa Engine 2 and King Ferry Fire Department Rescue worked together to establish a landing zone.
Crews secured the area for LifeNet of New York helicopter 7-12, which responded to assist with the incident.

The Genoa Volunteer Fire Department said 15 of its personnel responded to the call.
New York State Police and the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office also assisted on scene.
Fire officials said the scene was cleared in about an hour and a half and then turned over to New York State Police.
The Genoa Volunteer Fire Department thanked its members and mutual aid partners for what it described as exceptional teamwork during the incident.
