New breast surgeon joins Geneseo team

Patients in Livingston County now have a new option for specialized breast care in Geneseo.

Rochester Regional Health announced that Emily Klosterman, DO, MSMEd, has joined its breast surgery team and is now seeing patients at the Breast Center in Geneseo.

Dr. Klosterman is a breast surgical oncologist. She specializes in treating benign and malignant breast and axillary disease, high-risk breast lesions, breast cancer surveillance, and survivorship care.

She brings a patient-centered approach to her work, focusing on both advanced surgical care and compassion.

“I approach every patient as a whole person, not just their diagnosis,” Klosterman said. “Breast care is deeply personal, and it’s a privilege to guide each individual through every step of their journey with empathy, honesty, and teamwork.”

Klosterman earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her general surgery residency at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital and later finished a fellowship in breast surgical oncology at Advocate Christ Medical Center.

Outside the operating room, she enjoys painting, drawing, sculpture and pottery, photography, golf, and singing.

Dr. Klosterman sees patients at the Breast Center – Geneseo, located at 4302 Gateway Drive.

New patients are welcome. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 585-922-4715 or by visiting rochesterregional.org/locations/breast/geneseo.
