Deputies charged a man following a domestic incident that ended with a fire in the Town of Moravia.
Kyle A. Beardsley, 19, was arrested on January 3 and charged with fifth-degree arson, a misdemeanor. Deputies say Beardsley sent a video to his ex-girlfriend showing her purse on fire.
The incident was reported just before 7 p.m., and deputies later arrested Beardsley in Moravia. He was arraigned and released on his own recognizance. A judge also issued an order of protection.
Beardsley is scheduled to appear in Moravia Town Court on January 15 at 6 p.m.
