A traffic stop in Williamson led to a DWI arrest just before 1 a.m. Saturday.
Deputies say they pulled over a 50-year-old man from Rochester for speeding and suspected he was under the influence after he failed several field sobriety tests.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Alfredo A. Encina was stopped on Dec. 28 and later registered a blood alcohol concentration of 0.10% on a breath test. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusing to submit to a roadside test, and speeding in a posted zone.
Encina was released with traffic citations and is scheduled to appear in Williamson Town Court at a later date.
