Hochul said they align on affordability and universal child care, though she plans to keep pressing him on unresolved differences. She added that state cooperation will shape how much of his agenda becomes reality.
Mamdani will take the oath just after midnight Jan. 1 in private, then repeat it publicly at City Hall later that day, with Sen. Bernie Sanders presiding, followed by a public block party.
