With no hydrants and a water conservation order in effect, firefighters used creek water to battle a massive industrial fire in Minoa, according to WSTM.
The Action Topsoil facility went up in flames Saturday night, prompting a multi-agency response and “Signal 99” alert. Crews used portable ponds and tankers pulling from Limestone Creek to contain the fire, which caused a roof collapse and took three hours to knock down.
No one was inside, and no injuries were reported. Officials are still investigating the cause.
