A head-on crash Friday afternoon briefly shut down part of River Road in Seneca Falls.
Police, firefighters, and ambulance crews responded around 3:30 p.m. after a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of River Road and Bauer Road, according to the Seneca Falls Fire Department.
Units from the Seneca Falls Police Department, Seneca Falls Fire Department, and North Seneca Ambulance all responded. Assistant Chief Larsen arrived first and reported that the crash resulted in checkovers only, with no serious injuries reported at the scene.
Crews closed River Road at the connector bridge and at Bauer Road because of weather conditions and a vehicle blocking the roadway. North Seneca Ambulance evaluated the occupants involved in the crash.
Firefighters from Engine 1 handled traffic hazards and cleaned up debris from the road. Stevers Garage removed both vehicles from the scene.
All units cleared the area in about 40 minutes, and the road reopened shortly after cleanup was complete.
